Good excuses when calling in sick to work?

what are some reasons that would be believable for someone to call in sick to work?

Food poisoning. Domestic violence, just put your life in danger, they won't stress you.

call in sick only when you really are sick.  the employer could ask for a doctor's excuse, so be careful  if you don't like  your job find another one..

Tell them that your back is really hurting and that you called a nurse through the phone and the suggested you to lie down, rest and that you should take Ibuprofin 800mg.  (stong *** pill)  good luck!

Something I've learned....tell your boss you have something that's highly contagious.  The last thing your boss wants is for you to come in and get everyone else sick.  Just be careful, because a lot of places want doctors notes.

I suggest telling your boss you ate some mexican food last night and had ice cream for dessert.  He wont want you there, trust me.

A fever is usually an indication that an infection or whatever illness is still in its infectious stage.  I personally don't go to work if I have a fever, just in case I might spread whatever illness around a building where air quality promotes the spread of illness already.
