Good eyesight?

They say if you eat carrots, bell peppers, broccoli and brusselsprouts your vision will be good. I ate so much bell peppers, broccoli and carrots as a kid then in 3rd grade I have to get glasses. I still have glasses and the prescription has been good as new for 2 years now. Is there anyway if I keep wearing glasses 24/7 and eating those eyehelping foods that I could get better vision and not have to use glasses? I hate glasses and want to get rid of them but without them I can't see for c**p. I don't want contacts because I hate touching my eyes. And lasik eye surgery would be too much money and I don't trust doctors after all these surgeries gone wrong.

  1. Most people have the capacity to see perfectly naturally.

In order to do this people need to unlearn the incorrect vision habits, reintegrate the correct vision behaviors, and undo the damage of artificial corrections.

Good nutrition is always very important but it does not change the way we use our eyes, mind, and body together.

Blurry vision has nothing to do with muscle strength. Doing eye exercises(eye pushups, eye aerobics, eye yoga) does not change the way we use our eyes either.

Lasik is etching your prescription permanently onto your eyeballs. Just like any other prescription it will only last 1 to 3 years depending upon how well you have learned to handle the stresses in your life.

  2. Keep eating all that stuff. Some foods and vitamins are good for the overall health of the eye, but do nothing to correct your vision. It's basically the shape of the eye that determines what you will need for correction. If you can get over touching your eyes, contacts can really be nice when worn properly.

  3. Those vegetables have better results in people who already have good eyesight. Maybe you'll notice a small improvement, but if you've been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade, then you're not going to be able to go without your glasses at this point - unless, of course, there's medical intervention like Lasik surgery. I wouldn't get the surgery, either. My vision would have to be really bad for that, so I sympathize.

  4. Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
