Good fashion job skills?

I'm going to apply for a job at stores that sell clothing, like American Eagle or Hollister or Hot Topic. What kind of job skills do they look for when hiring at places like that?

Usually stores like you have mentioned are in local malls. Those mall stores get so many people applying for jobs it is best if you have skills or experience that will get you hired first. However since you do not know the skills I assume you do not have the experience. Do not worry, they also hire and train staff. There is often a high turnover in mall employees. These stores know this.

Skills they look for:

Sales

Cashier

Merchandiser/Display

Buyer

Fashion Knowledge

Fashion Trendy

Before you apply, go in and do your homework. Look around. Look at the employees, look at the store.

Asking for or delivering your application:  Dress the part .. Look like their employees when you go in to apply and when you interview. Tell about your excitement for the store and why you want to work there.
