  1. 1) 2-3 ferrets will be fine in this cage, nice size

    2) 1 ferret this cage will only be okay for one ferret

    3) 2 ferrets should be okay in this cage

if you can afford a ferret nation get one of those they are simply the best ferret cages around and would be suitable for up to 4 ferrets, they are also easy to clean.

but in any cage make sure your ferrets get lots of out of cage time:)

  2. the first one is for up to about 2 ferret but ive herd that the steps and slides break real easy. the second one can house about 3 ferrets and is a good cage...but i think the last one is the best cuz it gives them some tubes to play in and can house up to about 4 ferret...its a relly good cage

  3. 1. Good for 3 ferrets

    2. Good for 2 ferrets

    3. Good for 2 ferrets

Good luck, I hope I helped!

  4. the first one is the best if your getting more than one, the other two are way too small if you getting more than one.

So i'd go with the first one, but no more than 3 ferrets.

  5. Hi. I am owned by five ferrets. Tink, Bell, Neek, Lily, and Franky.

I also rescued ferrets, i have rescued six in the last year.

The first cage would work for three ferrets. The second cage might be ok for two but i would only put one in it. The third one would be ok for two but no more than two.

Now When getting a cage for a ferret you need to think about certain things. One how easy will it be to get the ferret in and out. Second how easy will it be to clean because you will likely be cleaning it a leat once a day. and Third is can you get a littler box in and out easily and probebly a bigger one than the corner box and the corner box works for kits but as they get bigger they usually perfer more roon to potty.

Here is the cage i have and LOVE!

The doors are big and open all the way. The bottom trys caome out for easie cleaning and replacing. It's well made, sturdy, and roomie.

  6. Ferrets do best in multi level cages so they can have seperate levels for the toilet area, the food area and plenty of holes for sleeping.  Ferrets are weasels and need to have a lot of options when resting during their 18 hour sleep period.  I think if they were living in the wild, they would have multiple chambers in their tunnels for safety.  Like when a predator sniffs them out, they have an escape route.  Ferrets like to move around a lot so they are happiest when you give them this option.  That goes for one or 20 ferrets.  Mine are free roam during the day and sleep in my drawers, under beds, behind speakers and they change spots several times during the day.  It takes new kids a while to den up and get used to their freedom but they settle down very rapidly.  It is easier to litter train the new kids because I took about 9 months to litter train my first ones.  If I stay up on my cleaning and watch the new ones, they really try to get into the routine.  I would pick the cage that has nice big doors on several levels for easy access when cleaning and definetly a multi level cage.  Stay away from cages that have wire shelves because it is hard on their feet.  I like the plastic shelves, like this one:

I like the cages that have stands because I can clean them easier.  Make sure the cage is full of hammocks, hanging beds, rope toys, tunnels that take them to other areas of the cage.  Be creative.

I use the bottom layer of the cage for the toilet area and I use 3 cat litter pans that fit nice and snug across the bottom so I can lift them out individually each day for cleaning.  The first cage is an odd shape and doesn't accomocate the litter pans so I don't like it.  The other two are the right measurements on the bottom pan but I only use a cage like this for hospital animals or isolation cages.  I like the tall multi layer cages and I have one that I used the top of a smaller cage and wired it to the top of my taller cage and made a huge condo for 5 ferrets.  Don't forget that ferrets do not make good cage animals and must be let out for several a day to play with you and to explore. No inside cage is really big enough for these little guys.  Please don't waste your money on a rodent ball.  Weasels have very long bodies and they don't fit in even the largest ball plus their natural instincts require them to explore their world and steal treasures, not sit in a ball. Let them share your home and they will be happy.

Since Ferrets are not rodents and don't have teeth that grow all the time, chewing is not a big issue.  Their teeth are like a cats teeth with sharp incisors and very brittle.  They will chew on the bars of the cage and anything rubber like keyboards, remote controls.. Make their cage as ferret friendly as you can.

Well, this is my advice, hope it is useful.

  7. The first one would be best if you plan on getting 2 or 3 ferrets, but no more than 3. The other 2 are good for one ferret.

You need to check into the shipping and handling on those products though. If you live in Canada, Canada Post has weight restrictions and you will not be able to have it delivered.

Your other choice is going to a Petcetera (if you live in Canada and have one near by) and purchasing a Chinichilla cage. The one they carry is about the same dimensions as the first cage you have linked. They charge 109.99, but at least you won't get dinged for shipping.

  8. 1!! My 4 ratties have that cage but the only thing is if ferrets are chewers they can chew throw the bottom we had to custom order a metal bottom from maine cages. good luck
