Question:

Good fish & chips and/or Christmas Lunch, Glasgow - help!?

Can anyone help me please? :) I have a friend visiting Glasgow from yesterday (Monday) 'til Thursday, from Norway. He has asked if we can go somewhere for nice fish and chips. He had some in London once and thought they were great. Is there anywhere in Glasgow we can sit in for good fish and chips? It wouldn't have to be a sit-in chippy. eg. Waxy O'Connor's has it on the menu, but I would have no idea if its good or not.

Also, we were at the Chinese Buffet King last night and they had some really nice Turkey. I told him about the traditional Christmas lunch/dinner and he'd like to try that too, if we can find somewhere. So, any ideas? I know lots of wee pubs do good food, I just don't know which ones!

Thanks everyone for any help you can give!

  1. Forget Glasgow, jump on a bus and get to the Burnside Inn in Menstrie, you'll get a great Christmas luncj AND fish and chips along with great Scottish beers.
