Good for a greek tortoise?

i am going to buy a small greek tortoise from a petstore and i was wondering is a screened reptarium with a softray and all accessories better or a glass aquarium or vivarium better?i really dont want to spend more than 60 on the cage since im focusing on all accessories. so which is better???

  1. Tortoises have a habit of trying to walk through things, so can injure themselves on screen, and when they get a little size to them, they can easily tear the fabric meshes.

    Glass tanks, however, are terrible for anything but a very young tortoise.

    Instead, consider a large Rubbermaid tub. These make great homes that are easy to clean. Try the housing section of http://www.russiantortoise.org for ideas on using the tub.

  2. a screened on is better. i have mine in a screen one.

  3. a tortoise table is much better for a tortoise tanks really do not get enough air flow for a tortoise , you can build one here is a site to show you how  http://www.russiantortoise.net/tortoise_... it does not have to cost a lot and usually works out cheaper than buying and expensive tank, best of luck with your new tortoise
