Im looking to get a first ever bike. Never had one before. Im looking for something with good power, decent gas milage, and can have a second rider. Im about 6'1" and 180 lbs. Those were the main bikes im looking at. Which would be the best? Or is there another sports bike that would be even better?

  1.   Why not look at a used bike?  Much cheaper and if you drop it you will not feel as bad.  Also look at Triumph Daytona

  2. get the yamaha thats all i can say

  3. THE ONLY WAY TO GO IS BY GETTING A GSXR 600. BY GOING WITH ANYTHING SMALLER, YOU WILL BE UNHAPPY WITHIN THE MONTH OF PURCHASING, SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON IT. ALSO, WITH YOUR HEIGHT AND WEIGHT, YOU WILL BE WELL-PROPORTIONED ON IT. THE OTHER BIKES MENTIONED ABOVE HAVE A DIFFERENT STANCE, WILL BE HARDER ON YOUR LOWER BACK B/C OF YOUR HEIGHT. GOOD LUCK, BE SAFE.

  4. never had a bike.... so why buy a new one to throw down the road,,

start on a cheap 250cc second hand bike... they have more than enough go for a learner..   look at the SV 650 in 6 months to a years time when you will actually have an idea about riding

  5. Personally I think you are getting in over your head. The 600's now are like the 750's of a few years ago-very powerful.I would go a little smaller to start so you don't end up in the hospital or worse.A 250 for your size would be plenty to learn on.

  6. The SV is considered an excellent bike. They'll all work, and they'll all be fun, but the SV will let you start out easy, while still being entertaining for many years.
