Good format to convert to look clear?

what is a good format i should convert my .mkv file into so that it can look really nice and clear what format may u suggest such as .avi .mpeg .mpeg-2 .dvd nrtcs. etc which one makes the dvd look more clear on tv? ?

Whats in the file is generally the best quality it will be.

Do you mean inside the pack.

The pack generally contains avi files for video.

H264 or X264 is the best.

Make sure the video is deinterlaced.
