Question:

Good fundraising ideas?

I'm part of USTA and we're trying to send our team to Australia for 3 weeks and live with different families and such but we need to do fundraisers to help raise the money.

Does anyone have any good ideas for fundraising for a bunch of teenagers?

  1. Interstate Battery...they have a great fundraiser program.  Everyone needs batteries and the products they offer are products that everyone uses.  I worked for Interstate Battery for 3.5 years and I had my nephew's Boy Scout troop use it to get them to camp.  take a look at the website.

This is a fundraiser that hasn't been done a lot yet and therefore it's new and exciting verse selling cards, candy bars, or the other typical fundraisers

  2. Run up behind unsuspected mall people and grab their purses and run away... :D

  3. Contact different large corporations like GM or Microsoft or Wal-mart anything big and tell them what you are doing. You could put patches of the corporations name on your backpacks that sponsor you. Almost like you are selling advertisement space. The bigger the donation the bigger the logo. Kind of like NASCAR. This might work if you go about it correctly. You might even be able to get one to pay for it all. You just need to find a way to advertise them on your trip I think the backpack idea would work. But you could also use jackets, shirts or whatever.

  4. Wait outside big stores and pharmacies with buckets and signs. That's what we do for baseball and we make alot of money.

  5. sponsored runs

    selling items

    auctions

  6. Do something that people will really want to sponsor you for because they wouldn't expect you to go out there and do it:

Skydive (could be expensive as you need to cover dive costs too)

    Cycle, Walk, Swim

Get sponsored to learn something completely new and then compete a real challenge- maybe a martial art or kickboxing,

Use your interests as inspiration- maybe organise an event such as a music concert - helping to promote new and local talent at the same time.

Just some random idea but hope it helps and good luck :-)

  7. car wash with donations

    pancake breakfast

"rent a teen" for odd jobs or babysitting

Selling stuff is such a pain in the a**

  8. normal ones;;;

    carwash

    fates (dunk the teacher etc)

    cake selling

    more creative;;;;

    draw pictures paint then sell

a BIG dance class (everyne pays a pound to get in and run a big dance class)

see resources for a link to more

  9. You could try going to a local grocery store and bagging for donations. You would just have to bring buckets with for the registers that you are bagging for and you could make sign to hang somewhere in the store. I coach cheerleading and we went to a local grocery store and bagged for 6 hours and received $400. I thought that was pretty good for 6 hours. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

  10. can anyone say carwash

you could sell candy door to door

ask for a donation door to door for your cause

  11. -try a carwash at busy areas

-ask the teenagers for any old stuff their willing to sell and have a yard sale and maybe even a bake sale at the same time that includes homemade lemonade for extra $$ since it's hot out...

    good luck!

  12. one easyone you dont really have to think about why you do others is a penny drive.

  13. It might be a pain but bottle drives work very well if you live in a state that accepts bottle returns. The trick here though is that you'd have to transport the bottles to a place that takes them.

Another idea would be a comedy show and get a comedian to do a nice clean show for which all the proceeds would go to funding the trip. Other answers to this question might say something like a pasta dinner or a car wash but pasta dinners don't really give you much choice for food and car washes can be tedious and typically on any given road if you charge $5 a wash you'll only make between $500-600 (know this from experience with the Boy Scouts) but with a comedy show who doesn't enjoy a comedy show? Getting a venue to hold it might be a trick but from my estimates it'd probably be worth it.

  14. Ask people in your communities to donate items for a yard sale. Sell baked goods and other food and drinks at the sale. Make some easy to do craft items and sell those too. good luck and I hope you reach your goal!!

  15. I have several proven and effective ways to raise funds for your project. One of the best is a web based promo fundraiser site that costs you nothing to set up and use, ever, all the money generated is yours to use as needed. Email me at ds_music_now@yahoo.com, or check the link below....

  16. f*ck people for money. then steal money from your best friend kim even though she used all her money shopping. then give abbey to kim and that way your dog and kims cat chloe can play on kims bed while watching you and kim play jak and daxter and you ask her questions about ratche and clank going commando. when she isnt looking steal her money from her money jar. i believe she only has coins left but thats a start. im psycic so i know about your person life and your friend kim is wondering since when you have been on USTA because she says you never told her that =[

  17. I've done quite a few fundraisers and they are so easy to do. When I had a sick friend who needed help with medical bills we put out change jars. Alot of them! We got nearly 1 thousand dollars. Try a penny war, it's too much to explain but google it and more than likely you will find it. You can contact local organizations like Am. Vets. or something else and ask for money. There are plenty of ways to raise money, just be creative!

  18. First I think you should send some stuff to your relative to help you reach a certain goal. Sell unimportant stuff like a garage sale.

  19. CARWASH

    WATER BALLON FIGHTS

    SELL CAKES AND STUFF

    BATTLE OF BANDS

PUTTING A MOVIE IN THE AUDITORUM AND CHARGING MONEY TO SEE IT

    EATTING CONTESTS

    DANCE DANCE REVOLUTING COMPETITIONS

    OTHER COMPETITIONS

SORY FOR SPELLING BUT IM LAZY
