Good game for young child?

Question

What is a good game for a young child that you can still play with only one or two people. Candy Land isn't bad, but it still confuses him a bit (he tends to move the piece in the wrong direction). I found the game Perfection works great. Any other ideas?

Concentration (memory), chutes and ladders, dominos (I think you can find pictoral dominos), I Spy Preschool Game, I Spy Bingo....these are all games we have and love in our house.

You didn't say how young the child is.  My daughter loved playing Chutes & Ladders, Trouble and Operation.  Puzzles are always a good choice too.

I would say some think like a game where you care for an animal or some think along that line because it gives them an idea of what the animal needs and could be great if you get a pet because they will know what to expect and gives them responsability.

I just played Candy Land, Memory, Chutes and Ladders, and Hi-Ho Cheeryo. Out of all she seemed most interested in Memory. She also enjoyed Hi-Ho Cherryo and Candy Land though. Hope this helps you.
