hey answerers! :D

I'm graduating in a couple weeks, and i had some really amazing teachers this year. I want to show how important in influential they were to me, but as you can probably guess, I'm a little strapped on cash! I will be making some cookies and such to for them, and I was looking into making baskets for the 4 teachers that I want to give something too!

So... If you could give me ideas that I can use, that would be fantastic! Here are the teachers, to help ideas!

A male government teacher, who just applied for law school and hopes to be a lawyer,

A male english teacher, loves England and coffee!

Another male english teacher, real goofball, humor loving guy.

A female english teacher, sweet and a real great friendly woman!

All of them are pretty young, so no old boring gifts. :D

thanks soooo much for your help everyone!

[oh i almost forgot! i'm planning to be an highschool english teacher too, so these teachers have really been helpful to me!]

  1. I agree with the letter, they mean so much.  Your homemade cookies will be all the thoughtfullness required apart from the card or letter of thanks.  Don't be shy about saying thank you.  It will mean so much to them.  Good luck in the future.

  2. I have every single card every student ever gave me.  Write a short note thanking the teacher and telling him or her about what he or she gave you that you will always remember.

We don't get thanked all that often, so that means just as much as any gift you could get.

  3. For the Female teachers, a gift basket would be great. Like a Bath and Body works gift basket. They love those.

The male on the other hand, some tend to like things like cards, or probably something they talk about a lot, like my government teacher likes Sienfield, so I got him a shirt.

They seem to like the little things....yea.

    But I hope that helps.

Good Luck with everything...Even your graduation.

I graduate this Sunday. I'm sooooo excited.

    :D

  4. A basket of cookies, with a $10 gift card somewhere, and a letter about how influential they were and talking about specific classes/events/lessons you liked will mean the WORLD to any teacher.  In fact, some places don't allow you to give materials gifts to teachers (because it could be considered bribery).  A heartfelt, HANDWRITTEN (so they know it isn't just a copy printed many times) letter will be kept forever.

  5. I am so impressed that you think so highly of your teachers.  Although gifts are nice, a kind word often goes further.  Why not write a note explaining the difference they've made on your life, what you've learned and how you've grown and print it on nice paper.  Frame the note (5 x 7 is really nice) in an inexpensive frame.

I am a teacher (a young one) and would cherish such a gift.  If you would like to do more, offer to help them with end of year tasks--cleaning their rooms,  text book inventory, etc.  Helping them with these tasks will also help you  become prepared when you are a teacher.  Good luck!
