I've got to write a golfing story, and I was wondering if anyone had any good termanology...

Some frequently used terms and some definitions:

   birdie, birdies - one stroke under par

   bogey, bogeys - one stroke over par (the past tense is bogeyed)

   hole in one

   fairway

   follow through

   tee, tee off

   Numbers - some sample uses: he has a 3 handicap; a 3-handicap golfer; a handicap of 3 strokes; a 3-stroke handicap; he had a par 5 to finish 2-up for the round; a par-4 hole; a 7-under-par 64; the par-3 seventh hole; a No. 5 iron; a 5-iron; a 7-iron shot; a 4-wood; the first hole; the 10th hole; the back nine; the final 18; the third round; he won 3 and 2,

2-under par, 3-putt.
