Good hair salons in the D.C/Virginia area?

I'm in desperate need of a new hairstyle and I need to know good/cheap hair salons in the D.C/Virginia area preferably with stylists who speak good English. I hate when I can;t understand the stylist..I can never get what I want. Thanks!

Easel Hair Studio in Georgetown. Love it. It's not cheap, but I definitely always get what I pay for -Sara does great -with cuts, & especially with color -whether fixing something I messed up, or just letting her do my color/highlights to begin with! Check it out: www.easelhair.com

I'm not sure where you are, but the salon I go to, The Finishing Touch, in Chantilly is wonderful, and very resonably priced.  I think I pay around $40 for my haircut.  I really like all the stylists there.
