  1. Last definition I was given by my Med Examiner was the ability for normal room type conversation.

  2. WHAT WAS THAT YOU SAID?

Seriously though, my hearing is c**p. I know others who wear hearing aids. You have to have pretty bad hearing not to qualify. As long as you can hear the radios and alarms, you are probably good to go.

  3. Yes.  I would definitely say you have to have good hearing to be a Commercial Pilot.

  4. Good hearing, it is something that you have to be able to hear if said in "normal tone".

Don't worry, our headphones are quite noisy, even the David Clark ones.

  5. in order for your PPL you MUST be able to hear a whisper from 3 feet away

  7. About the hearing I don't know, but about eyes I'm sure ....

  8. Just "normal", so you can hear the radio, intercom, alarms etc. Doesn't have to be superman level.
