Good high Rx contacts ?

any ideas on which type of contacts are good in the +18.00 range and are there any extended wear easily available in that Rx.I don't want full time but would like to be able to go for a couple of days at a time without having the hastle of putting them in in the AM.

  1. A +18.00D power is much on the high side and as such, standard off the shelf contacts might not meet your optimum need. This is because, your base curve and required diameter is most likely to differ from that of ready made contacts.

    My advise to you is to visit your optometrist to check out these other parameters so as to come up with a suitable recommendation for you. By the way, the maximum power readily available for such ready made contacts as acuvue, air optix, oasys biomedics etc is usually +/-10.

    And yes they can come as extended wear too.
