Question:

Good hosting company for streaming video?

Can anyone recommend a good hosting company that will allow me to store a few gb of videos and stream them.

Ideally, this host would have a month-to-month pay plan rather than the 6, 12-month contracts.

Less than $15/mo would also be good. I won't be making money off this site - just providing tutorials for free.

  1. I think Dreamhost would be perfect for video streaming.

    Check their plan at: http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html

They are one of the rare good hosts that have month-to-month payment option. Although they have the setup fee of $49.95 for monthly payment, you can use the promo code DNA to waive that setup fee and just start paying $10.95/month.

  2. Sounds like you need a blog (one that offers blog cast). Check out http://www.topblue.net/ and highlight webhosting and click quick blogcast. The plan that suits you would be the Deluxe Plan ($9.99/mo) and includes:

    • 5GB Disk Space

    • 300GB Bandwidth

or just try the regular hosting as that won't matter whether or not you store/stream music/videos from it.

  3. I recommend using Netfirms Business Plan for video/audio streaming - http://tinyurl.com/netfirms . It's $14.95 per month. You can pay for a 3-month contract. 300GB of space and 3000GB of bandwidth. Should be enough for your use.

  4. I can provide hosting for affordable prices month to month

45Gb of disk space and 900Gb of bandwidth for $7.99

Prices are very flexible contact me...

  5. You can check review of top ten web hosting companies at website like http://aplis.net/ .

  6. Veoh... maybe??....

  7. If you're looking for a web host supporting video/audio streams, take a look at: http://bluehost-service.atspace.com . I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them. I own a multimedia site including severl hundreds of video/music files. Refer to mentioned site and review their plan details to get further information.
