Good idea or bad idea: Flipping off the car behind you because they won't get off your bumper?

Question

Have you ever stuck your hand out your car window and gave the driver behind you the middle finger because they kept tailgating you? I was very tempted to do so today I thought the guy behind me was going to ram into me. Where did he expect me to go in traffic? The road wasn't exactly empty and I wasn't going to get a speeding ticket because of another person's impatience.

Definitely brake check time. Even if he hits you, it's automatically his fault for tailgating, and you get a new paintjob. lol.

That  will make them more mad and they will most likely get closer to the bumper.  Just tap the brakes and get off the gas maybe steer over to the right side of the road let him know you want him off your bumper without giving him road rage.

the best way to get rid of a tail gater is to simply take your foot off the gas. don't tap the brakes, or slam on the brakes (they might have very slow reaction time) just take your foot off the gas and watch the speedometer. after you drop down about 5-10 mhp, continue along as if nothing has happened. f***************d is a sign of aggression, and aggression begets aggression, so just let it be.

SOMETIMES THE BEST THING TO DO IS TURN ON THE BLINKER AND LEAVE IT ON... MAKE HIM THINK YOU'RE MOVING OVER -AND DONT... THEN SHUT IT IF AND DO IT AGAIN AFTER A MINUTE OF SO.. PEOPLE HATE THAT BLINKING LIGHT AND HE'LL BE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING AROUND YOU THAN HE WILL IN RAMMING YOU OR GIVING YOU A BUTT LOAD OF STATIC... AND IIS FUNNY WHEN THEY GET ALL BENT OUT OF SHAPE..    HE'LL GET OVER IT .  KEEP YOUR FINGER INSIDE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S GOING TO THROW A LUG NUT THRU YOUR WINDSHEILD OR JUST LOSE IT ALL TOGETHER AND DO SOMETHING REALLY STUPID TO YOU ..
