Good idea or bad idea?

alright.. i am starting an organization that will just be local for now and hopefully go throughout the US.. but how does this sound

i was thinking of starting an organziation that would raise money for all who were affected by the civil war in Liberia. I dont have specific fundraising ideas yet (all suggestions would be greatly appreciated).. i know an ex senator of liberia and he said that he would be glad to help me with organizing it in liberia. i figure that it would be one less poor country. we all need to work together.

please i need your opinions and suggestions =) thank you

i think this sounds like a great idea, but it might be a hard task. so, maybe you should start small and try to work your way up into something bigger. you can have a dinner to raise money and you can show some information on liberia.

Starting an organization is a lot of work and takes time and money. You might be better off seeking organizations that work within Liberia now and trying to help them. You can give donations to specific parts of an organization's work.

As for fund-raising, serving national foods or showing national games, dances, performances could be helpful to get money and to make Liberians seem "more real."
