Question:

Good international film schools?

I want to go to film school, but preferably not in the U.S.

I don't mind having to learn a new language.

My main source of inspiration is Polanski, so I'm leaning towards the film school in Lodz, Poland. But I'm not sure how much that school has changed, it's been a long time since he was there.

I want to make films about people, not about action or special effects.

Any suggestions?

  2. Dude you should totally look for something in Spain. They put out the most original and artistic social/human centered films I have ever seen. (And I do see a lot of foreign films)

For starters you should look at both Pan's Labyrinth and/or El Orfanato (The Orphanage) to see if you like the style.

Spanish culture is also very passionate and Spain would be a very inspiring place to make visual art in my opinion.

I would start researching for schools there located in the typical culture centers of the counrty: Madird and Barcelona (possibly Seville and Granada too?)
