Good items for a Dorm room?

What are some good extra things that I would need for my dorm room?

If you want people to hang out, get a loft or the top part of a bunk bed and put a futon or chairs under your loft for hanging out during the day. A tv and DVD player are a must. A mini fridge is important. A big push pin board for inside your room holds notes and pictures and ticket stubs as you gather your college memories. A dry erase board on the outside of your room is a fun way to interact with neighbors.

Make sure you have a nice rug. Also, good towels...and flipflops for the shower.  A shower caddy....small bottles of shampoo, a fan in case your room is hot.  Headphones to listen to your music.
