looking for something with a little class. something besides mexican or american food. maybe something exotic, like cuban or carribean. anyone know of anything in the austin area?

I dont know specifics for the Austin area, but to give you an idea once my boyfriend suprised me by taking me to a Hibachi resturant. Its regular Japaneese food but it was a really nice "hip" place where they cook right in frount of you ( it was like watching a show really) and we had a ball. Hope this helps

Mars is a great restaurant on South Congress. They have a fantastic wine selection and their food is just amazing!

Not so much 'exotic' but for special occasions, I like to go to Romeo's(italian) on Barton Springs.
