  2. Go to http://www.signingtime.com

It is a great children's series that teaches American Sign Language vocabulary (but not grammar and syntax).

Rachel Coleman, her deaf daughter Leah, and Leah's hearing cousin Alex help children develop ASL vocabulary in a fun way. They also have a sister series called Baby Signing Time, which is structured differently.

I answered another question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... )  where I referred someone to Signing Time! and these were the links to view Signing Time! previews in my answer:

Sorry that's it's long, I just wanted to help! Signing Time is a GREAT series, and NO child should be denied it. Any child, no matter what their abilities can use it to learn sign language vocabulary. I hope you consider my advice and choose Signing Time for your child. You do not need to buy Signing Time to watch it if it's on PBS where you live. Otherwise, you will probably need to buy the DVDs to watch it. It will NOT delay your child's speech (contrary to popular belief), and you will not regret it!

Well, that's what I posted on the other question; all of it is a good source to teach children ASL vocabulary!  And that whole speech thing is true, too!  It will NOT slow down speech/language development, but rather, it may speed it up!  (Especially the language part; most children can comunicate with sign before they speak--such as waving bye-bye-- if your child (deaf or not) waved bye-bye, would you think "oh my gosh, they'll never say it"?)  Sorry for that ramble in the parentheses. :)
