  1. stay away from the former eastern parts of town if you not white ..to many neo n***s (of course not all but a lot)

also stay away from kreuzberg ...to many drug addicts. innercity as charlottenburg , schoeneberg , wilmersdorf are ok .if i would know how long you want to stay and what kind of hotel you prefer i could help you better.

  2. Charlottenburg, but it depends also how much you can spend?

Check out the AIR BERLIN web site.

  3. What a ridiculous answer from Caroline.

I've just visited germany for the first time in my life, despite having been all over the undeveloped world.

I never expected to find such a lovely country, full of incredibly old villages and towns and fantastic roads, with friendly people who all speak at least three languages.

I rode 6000 kms on a big Triumph 900 for 5 weeks in Germany, and the sun shone, the sights were great.... I love it!

If you have a chance, try to stay for at least one  night at the Adlon Hotel right next to the British Embassy and the Brandenburger Tor, it's the best.

Don't forget the Hauptbahnhof, main train station, it's on 4 levels and quite amazing, and outside there are the tourist buses which will take you all over, you can get on and off anywhere and the tour costs 12-15 euros.

I loved Berlin, it's clean, efficient and small enough to be a  great short stay.

    Enjoy!

  4. I'd reccomend anywhere but Germany. I lived there for 6 years and my mum is German and left there.

  5. I was in Savigny Hotel in Savigny Platz. Train is 2 min walk. Room had 3 beds. Paid 225 euros for 3 nights. You will have a great time.

  6. yes, I stayed at this one

Is off a main street with a big shopping centre, excellent transport links and good cafes and restaurants for a cheap price.  You can walk around at night with no trouble.
