Good lunch ideas for someone on the go?

I'm a picky eater. I need an easy lunch that i can fix up in 15-20 minutes that i can eat without heating up at school since it don't have access to a microwave. The problem is, i don't like spending my lunch hour just eating so i need a food that i can gulp down quickly with no time involved. I was thinking fruits and veggies for lunch, but that probably isn't enough to last me the whole afternoon. So anyone have any suggests?

I don't really like eating meat. Plus, i hate cold meat so no meat.

And what can i do to give my meals variety. Last year i ate the same lunch the whole time, i'm sick of veggie sandwiches.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Protein shakes are my favorite for a grab and go lunch.  They get boring after a while so mixing them up with the green power drinks from obwalla and that other brand (cant think of it off the top of my head),

  2. Cream cheese with different toppings each day- one day cream cheese and cucumber, next day tomato, Sandwiches usually are the quickest, but if you want even faster sushi works well. Have you heard of onigiri? You could make a batch of those...Also I sometimes make up a big batch of pasta salad- which isn't exactly salad just spirals, sundried tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, vinegar oil and dried oregano and sometimes olives, and it doesn't need reheating. Can be eaten quickly too.

  3. Hummus is pretty good, you could spread it on a wrap and then put your fav veggies in that.

You could also do sort of a cold burrito, refried beans and/or rice, lettuce, cheese, sour cream or whatever u like.

cheese and tomato sandwiches are good. just pack the tomato slices separatly then put them on the bread when you are ready to eat so it doesn't get soggy.

    Cucumber sandwiches

Veggie Wrap...You could also grill/sautee up a big pan of veggies then use those for the whole week.

I like tuna and crackers for my lunch.

Cold soups are good too (Gazpacho)

  4. Little turtles - they fit in your pocket and come with their own bowl! (just turn them over on their backs, grab a fork and gets ta eatin!)

  5. veggie wrap

  6. If you pair your fruits and veggies with some fat/protein, it will keep you full for more of the afternoon.

    Some ideas:

    - Add some chunks of cheese with your sliced apple.  Cheddar or mini baby bels work really good.

    - Use vanilla or fruity yogurt as a dip for your sliced fruit.

    - Spread some cream cheese on celery.

    - Use a cup of plain yogurt mixed with a package of Good Seasons salad dressing mix as a healthier dip for veggie sticks like cucumbers/carrots/whatever.

  7. Get some meal replacement bars like Luna Bars, Protein Bars, Pure Protein, Power Bars etc

Get them in bulk so they are cheaper too and have them every few hours to stay energized
