Tomorrow some co-workers and I have a function and need to go somewhere for lunch. The function is at McCormick and we're taking the train into Ogilvie. Can you recommend a good lunch place (obviously not fast food or I wouldn't be asking- that's very easy to find). Thanks for your help!!!!

  1. I love Heaven on Seven.  111 N. Wabash.  (across the street from the store formerly known as Marshall Fields)

It is on the 7th floor.  You have to get the Gumbo and a Cheddar Jalapeno corn muffin.  But anything on the menu is good.  Awesome soft shell crab po'boy.

  2. Lou Mitchell's near Union Station

  3. Rosebud

  4. Between Ogilvie and McCormic

That is like anything that is downtown!!!!

I like Millers as said above

  5. Miller's Pub.  The best food and the best deal in town.  Located at Adams & Wabash, beneath the "EL" it has been in business for years.  The filet mignon, the prime rib, the burgers, and the cole slaw are ideal.  It is possibly the best kept secret in the Loop.  It has a great bar, with single malt scotch and any call shot or beer that you desire, and an ideal location (next to the Palmer House).   It is open from 11 AM to 2AM (the bar is open until 4AM) daily.  And, don't forget the baby back ribs.  The actual address is 134 S. Wabash.  One can catch a cab or walk to the Metra to travel to McCormick Place.
