Do you play the ponies and what horse will you bet on? What's your favorite horse in it? Who do you think will win this? How will they come in this year?

  1. Don't forget your hat!

    ;-)

  2. You would have to sit in the infield.  I have been twice, I used to live in Louisville and I had a great time.  I think you should go. If possible go to the oaks on Friday and the party at Church Hill Downs on Friday night.

I only play the ponies when i can see them live at the paddock to see if the favorite is feeling good or not.

  3. The Queen (of England) is also going to be there.

Last I checked though, she is not planning to hang out with Larry Birkhead.

  4. YES!  You need to go, at least once in your life.  I just checked the weather, and it should be warm, although maybe a bit muddy from the rain Thursday and Friday.  I've been 2-3 times, and it was great fun, although you really cannot see the race from the infield, unless you get there VERY EARLY and sit near the fence. It's more like a rock festival or something.

I don't know anything about the horses that are running, so no help there.  Have fun!

  5. Went once, will never go again.  Too many people and the place is filthy.  Yes, I play.  I will handicap tonight and find out who I like.  Field has not been drawn yet.

  6. If you have the opportunity, I think you should go. This may turn out to be a once in a lifetime chance. Enjoy the experience.

  7. Back at you; good morning from the Bluegrass State also and if you get the opportunity to attend the Derby then go for it.  It's the most exciting 2 minutes in all of sports.  I always go when I can and hopefully I will be there this year.  Haven't yet made my pick until I study them more, but have been looking at Street Sense and Circular Quay.  I usually make my pick the morning of the Derby.

  8. Yeah, you shoulod go. Just remember, it's going to be crowded since Larry Birkhead and his new daughter Dannilynn are supposed to attend! I don't play but, good luck to you!
