My favourite romance movies are The Notebook, Atonement and Just Like Heaven.

The first two are deeper and more tear jerking, the last is much more simple and heartfelt.

  I'd recommend "Boy Meets Girl", or, if you're after something  more... different, try the Heather Wells series.

Also, "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Phillipa Gregory.
