  1. The chimera is a fascinating creature, as it is a mixture of other animals.

Or, instead of a werewolf, how about a weremanticore, if you want something more original? ... An ordinary looking human who transforms into a manticore under certain conditions.

A manticore has the head of a human being, the body of a red lion and the tail of a dragon. It's similar in appearance to the Egyptian sphinx, so you could write your story with an ancient Egypt flavor.

  2. Harpies, gremilns??

  3. banshee, doppelgangers, leprechauns, trolls, goblins, ogres, giants, dragons, mermaids, sprites, faeries, elves, unicorns, were bears, were tigers, succubi (female temptress demon), demons, Nymphs, fauns, sylphs, harpies, gnomes, dwarfs, sasquatch, Yeti, and Al Quaida.

  4. Barabashka.

A mythical creature that lives in the houses, is either very tiny or invisible, usually described as hairy ball of black or brown color. When people who live in the same house do something that Barabashka dislikes, he punishes people by throwing objects at them, moving and hiding things, making loud noises at night. He does it until people do something to pacify him or move out.
