  1. Cats have a way of telling you what their name should be.  After you have had your boy for a few days, he will let you know just what his name should be!

Here's a list of cat and kitten names:

Good Luck and thanks for adopting!

  2. I named my grumpy male kitty Tibby LOL! It totally doesn't fit him but that's the best part! He's a grumpy, lazy kitty and his name is Tibby!! :)

  3. well, u could name him after someone in a movie or book that reminds u of him. i named my male kitten "Blessed" after the stinky dog in the Charlie Bone books, because wen i got him he smelled rly bad!

  4. I usually rely on T.S.Eliot for help on this one:

    The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,

       It isn't just one of your holiday games;

You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter

When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,

Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,

Such as Victor or Jonathan, or George or Bill Bailey -

All of them sensible everyday names.

There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,

Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:

Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter -

But all of them sensible everyday names.

But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,

A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,

Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,

Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?

Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,

Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,

Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum -

Names that never belong to more than one cat.

But above and beyond there's still one name left over,

       And that is the name that you never will guess;

The name that no human research can discover -

But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.

When you notice a cat in profound meditation,

The reason, I tell you, is always the same:

His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation

Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:

         His ineffable effable

         Effanineffable

    Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

My submission in this case is Sacco, as in Sacco and Vanzetti. I predict that he will be an anarchist and try to upset your entire universe.

  5. Touluose was the name of the orange kitten and the black one was named Berlioz  they were both males.

  6. I love Mortamer. He's my boy, and the vet techs (who love him!) said he had a really cool name. I call him "Mort".

Hope he's as sweet as my boy is!

  7. We named our male orange and white kitty "Tang".  He is the sweetest yet fistiest kitty I've ever seen....Aristocats Names are...O'Malley-the alley cat, Duchess-the mom cat, Scat Cat- the other alley cat, Berlioz, Marie, Toulouse, Frou-frou, Napoleon, Lafayette, and Abigail.. there were also some other cats too but I don't they actually had names but the had and english , french and itailian accents.. Hope this helps

  8. I have picked names before I got my cats and then found that their personalities made me change them... I had a lil tiny boy cat... when I took him to the vet...holy c**p he became  a lil toughie it took 4 full sized humans to hold him to have his lil 4 month ears cleaned...so I named him spike...it just fit... you need to get to know your kitty..  :D
