Question:

Good old 4X4s?

My mate just got a brand new Mazda 6 2L Saloon and he is getting 31mpg on average.

I drive an MG ZS 2.5L Saloon and get 27mpg on average.

This week I used my wifes 2L 4X4 for work and lm averaging on 48mpg!!!!!!!

So WHEN WILL THE TREE HUGGERS AND THIS USELESS GOVERNMENT REALISE THAT THEY ARE BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE!!!

If this is anything to go by then surely we should all scrap our much needed (for those of us with jobs and proper families) family saloons and buy more safe, more practical and more fuel efficient, sensible 4X4s.

Anybody else agree?

  1. They may be safer for the people in them but they certainly are not safer for the people you hit with them!  Also, they are really big and bulky and my mum nearly pulled out in front of someone because a 4x4 was blocking the view.

Also, you have a sample of 1 car!  Are you telling me 4x4's are more efficient based on probably about a 0.1% sample of 4x4's in the world!?

  2. Some have good fuel economy and they shouldnt all bit hit by huge taxes JUST BECAUSE they are 4 x 4's.

It ANNOYS me so much that they tax cars like this and then have old D reg old bangers puffing out thick black smoke!!!

How ever 4 x 4 drivers are terrible! well most are! The other day they pulled out in front of our van which is a big merc vito so could have stood up for itself in a crash but not the point!

My sisters had one smack into the back of there small hatchback and it crashed the car in right up to the drivers seat! No lie! if they had been in the back.... i dont even want to think about it!

  3. Ah yes, I get 31mpg on veg oil out of my 2.7TD 4x4 on rapeseed oil at 80p per litre!

And the ability to tow three tons with it!
