I have been having braxton hicks contractions for 3weeks now. I went to the hospital on Sunday because I had continuous pain in my abdomen and the baby only moved twice in a hour. They sent me home cause I was only 1cm and 30% effaced. Now I am having more contractions (more intense), accompanied by heartburn and nausea. Should I have my Dr. strip my membranes at my appt tomorrow?

  1. Stripping membranes never did anything for me.  My doc stripped mine like three times.  My best advice is just to walk walk walk.  Sorry about the heartburn/nausea.  Gaviscon sp? worked the best for me, rolaides and tums didn't help at all.  I heard that some women get the nausea at the very end.  You must be close.  Congrats and I hope this helps.

  2. good

  3. Just let nature do it's thing... no need to try to force labor unless you are in an emergency situation.

  4. You didn't mention how far along you are...

  5. Wow, I've never had experience with being pregnant but I think you should make your way to the hospital when your contractions are like 2-3 minutes apart. If not more like, 4-5 minutes. Good luck with your new baby boy or girl!!
