Is a 620 on the United States History SAT 2 subjct test a good score for schools such as the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and NYU?

Are these subjects tests very important and will they strongly influence whether or not you are accepted?

  1. First of all, colleges don't place too much stress on SAT subject tests. More important factors would be your GPA and regular SAT scores. Take a look at NYU's class profile here http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/07/...

and see if your scores fall into the median. As i said the sat 2 scores arent very important, but they do bear some weight. I think a 620 would be below average for those admitted, since NYU is a fairly difficult school to get into. If your GPA, regular SAT scores, and extracurricular activities are all strong and above average for these schools, then i would say not to worry too much about your sat 2 score. However, i would say a 620 is low for these tier of colleges. Sorry but thats just the truth.
