  1. I think if you really want it then go for it :-)

  2. Don't do it, you will regret it in later life.

  3. Bad idea... there are better ways to remember your friend than scaring yourself for life. They can just end up as painful reminders about their death and the loss of a friend rather than you keeping fond memories of them alive. they also serve to prolong the natural grieving process and can lead to depression...

  4. I think the phrase R.I.P. (no matter how well intended) looks better on a tombstone and is not very original.  I'm not against tattoos and want one too but what about on your lower back or ankle and something more interesting? Something like "(his name) - in the arms of the angels" with some wings or his initials and the date he died in the wings? Don't rush into something you might end up hating. Use your imagination.

  5. Either way would be good. Maybe get a stencil in both places and see which position you like better.

  6. Wrist tattoos rock , so Ive heard !

  7. i think its a really sweet idea. i wouldnt do it on your neck though. maybe on a shoulder blade or ankle.

  8. Great idea, im getting the same on the back of my neck but of my grandad. its something unique and something thats personally special to you so go for it.

  9. Maybe not. I'm a bit cautious of having a name (even my own) done, but it's up to you.

  10. I have a tattoo on the back of my neck that i received for my best friend and i love it everytime someone sees it i tell them of all the good times we had and it never gets old o love sharing him with everyone. its a great momento.

  11. yes, what a lovely idea, how about getting in on your ankle or foot instead?,

you could just go for his initials instead in fancy writing, it would look lovely,...good luck on whatever you decide to get

  12. write it on with a pen, wear it for awhile and when you get tired of looking at it, wash it off... no tats

  13. Instead of the initials R.I.P., all you need is his name. Or his first name and something about him that made you smile. Instead of remembering his death, remember his life. Can you think of something unique to him?

What did he like? Did he always say a certain phrase or word?

Do whatever feels really right to you, as if he was advising you.

    good luck with your choice.

  14. No it'll be there forever and may not be appropiate later

  15. great idea about the tat, im sure your mate would like to be remembered especially if he/she was into tattooo's, but not on your neck!!  like some people are still old fashioned about tattoo's!!!  your upper arm or shoulder maybe!!  just somewhere you can cover!!!!
