  1. Here are some tips I used:

Carry a separate binder or folder for each course.  Use dividing taps to separate homework from tests and so on if that works for you.

Summarize you readings in a very short paragraph.  This will help solidify your knowledge and allow for easy reference.

Make appointments with your teachers!  Review papers, tests, confusing subjects.  Even if you did okay, meeting with teachers once a month or once ever other month will let them know you are interested and committed.

Pay attention and participate in class.  I found that in high school I could score all As as long as I did all the work and really paid attention in class.  I did not need to study very hard, just complete the homework, reading, and pay attention in class.  Paying attention and participating will also let the teacher know you are interested and committed.

NEVER through away old tests!  NEVER NEVER NEVER!  Then, when finals or midterms come around, you can go back and see what you missed.  It is much easier to review what you have trouble with if you remember what you have trouble with!

But most of all, learn what your natural habits are (do you remember to separate your papers in sections, do you hate folders or hate binders) and adjust your organization habits to fit these.  It is much easier to change a system then your habits!

Good luck in high school and on those A's!

  2. I go through my binder about once a month and take out everything I don't need. Some teachers recommend that you save the already graded papers, but it's not always necessary. Label all the sections of the binder and never put something in the wrong spot.

  3. haha well i am going into 8th grade, but i can get pretty mess too! Okay, well my backpack gets very messy. Every month try cleaning it out. If you have papers in there (99% of my messy backpack is random papers) and you need those papers, get a folder for each subject. That way, if you have important papers you can save them. (i save them for end of the year exams to study on, i always forget what i heard in the beginning of the year, and it really does help!!) Binders....same thing. papers falling out and all that really mess me up. If anything falls out, i have a folder for it. idk how a notebook gets messy....maybe you write notes in the wrong section? well, if so, get dividers! They do help!

  5. High School is going to harder than middle school so its important to be organized and stay that way. Here are some good tips

    1. Have your required supplies for your classes. Youll most likely get a syllabus on your first day listing books and materials. If it doesnt give you materials, the essential things to have are

    A Binder

Dividers (see how hte class functions youll want a notes section, a paper section (like essays and such), worksheets and handouts, and perhaps tests and quizzes (if you get them back, they are great to study from)

Folder (if you dont like binders they are a handy way to store papers)

Pens and Pencils (and red pens for correcting) all in a pencil case

Another good tip is to pack up your bag the night before so youre not scrambling in the morning

Just do all your work, turn in stuff on time, read your assigned reading, and respect your teachers. You'll do fine if you don't let your mind get distracted. But of course stay social and do study groups. Don't get discouraged if you don't make all As first semester. Its hard, and only gets harder. Just do your best

  6. put dividing tabs in your binders like one for notes and one for homework and one for vocab maybe depending on the class that helps me stay orginized and also every month throw out useless papers you are sure you dont need any more or keep them in a folder in case u think you might need it later
