  3. maybe you could make it a luau theme or something. we just did that for my niece who turned 2 and it was really neat. we ordered all the supplies and games from a place online called oriental trading, they had all the decorations, games, and prizes. the limbo was really cool. we also had a pool in the yard too. their prices are reasonable, too!!

  4. I'm not sure of the activities... but I have an adorable cake idea.

A #2 pencil!  Basically, a pencil shape with yellow icing for the body, pink icing for the eraser, and then chocolate sprinkles for the point.

  5. Go with a theme say 'Australia' so you get all the kids dressed as kangaroos (on their own from home) http://www.aussiefoodshop.com/australian... get some australian stuff..will turn up great!

  6. For free party game ideas http://www.pinatas.com/Kids_Party_Games_...

  7. A bounce house is definetly fun.

Two year olds can't really do as much as other kids because they're still too young. So you can really entertain them with candy and food. They will most likely run around a lot and find their own games to play. When stuff it too planned, 1) It doesn't go exactly the way planned and 2) Kids get bored.

So bounce house, candy, drinks, food, and a kid's imagination would work just fine.

    Good luck!

  8. Okay, well you first have to come up with a theme. What kind of things is your son into? Does he like Dora the Explorer (I know this is huge with little ones), Sesame Street, Disney, Bob the Builder? Once you have a theme, it's easier to get started.

Then you need a cake. Its easiest to do cupcake cakes with little ones because they don't get so messy as they do with big hunks of cake. One fun idea (for a Sesame Street Theme) is a cupcake cake designed to look like Elmo's face, made entirely out of cupcakes! This can be modified to be any character.

Keep the food simple and neat. You'll be catering to toddlers here, and kids a little bit younger and older, which means kids with and without teeth. Finger foods are best,as well as foods that will go down without much chewing. Juices and milks are the best.

As far as activities go, toddlers have fun doing the most simple things. No need to bob for apples or play pin the tail or the donkey for quite a few years now. Fill your home with lively child friendly music that they can dance to, and themey balloons. Kids can make their own musical instruments out of household items like paper plates and beans (with parents help) and dance along with the music.

Your son will not remember his 2nd birthday unfortunately, but with all the pictures you take, it will be a reminder of his youth for you.
