Good pc for good gaming?

Question

Would my PC be good enough for gaming, not necessarily on very high settings, but enough to play some games with really good graphics?

(EG, Crysis, Alone in the Dark, Medieval 2, Oblivion)

Specs:

375 Watt supply

Dell 20 inch monitor (max resolution 1280 X 1024

Intel Pentium Dual Core 3GHz X 2

2 GB RAM

nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256 MB

320 GB Hard Drive

That system meets the minimum requirements for pretty much any game out right now.  Meaning:  you can play any game on at least the lowest settings.  Oblivion should be okay, Medieval should be fine... Crysis will have to be played on some pretty low settings in order to be worth trying.  I haven't looked at Alone in the Dark quite yet, so I don't know what kind of hardware you need to be able to play it.

Your config seems alright, but if you want to run Crysis with good graphics at the screen's maximum resolution, the graphics card is not going to cut it. You will need a more powerful one. I might recommend an ATi HD4850 or HD4870 as the best price/performance card at the moment.

In addition, you will probably have to get a more powerful power supply, one that provides at least 600 Watts. If you intend on getting more than one graphics cards in the future, make that 800 Watts and up.

It's not state of the art, simply the bare minimum to enjoy quality games the way they were meant to be played.

yeah that could run all the games with good to great results.

I cant tell just by looking at the names of the games but i do suggest looking up the minimum requirements and the suggested requirements of these games. I once bought two games which didn't work because the video card was out of date. So i had to buy a new video card (60$).

But make sure you look up those requirements!
