Good photography or snapshots?

Question

which ones could be improved and which one do you ike best and why?

First three are snapshots-it's like pretty sunset pictures, everybody has them in their vacation albums.

The last one is headed in the right direction, I would have composed it a little differently myself but in context it illustrates an idea.

If you want to do architectural, get more control of the lighting and background via time of day, etc, and work on the perspective some.  Someone once said that as you walk around a structure looking for the best angle from which to photograph it, the structure will 'speak' to you when you get to the right spot.  I've always found that to be true.

first one: just your average snapshot

second one: has potential(i love how there's a rainbow in front of the fountain that's so cool!)

third one: snapshot

fourth one: my favorite probably; it is more unique than the others and is taken from a cool angle

when taking photos try not to have a bunch of people in the way of what you're photographing. i know this sometimes cannot be avoided but it really distracts from the focus of the picture.

The first one is a snapshot.  Second one shows intention.  The last ones show quality and composition.

The 1st one is ok...the composition needs some work. I really like the second one...it has a lot of interesting things going on. I don't really like the 3rd one. Architectural photography is tough. It's not about taking photos of an interesting building, it's about finding the interesting angles and aspects and emphasizing them with your camera. I like the 4th, it's a nice idea. I think it's too close though. The gate takes up so much of the frame. The viewer has no idea where this picture was taken and what you're trying to portray...it's just a gate, ya know?

Good job overall. I can tell you're really thinking about what you're shooting. You just need some help on the technical side of photography. Keep shooting.

The 1st and 3rd ones are snapshots; the 2nd one looks nice and shard, and i love the rainbow! The fountain is a little distracting, but it might be able to be used in a magazine or something. The last one is really nice because the framing and focusing, probably my favorite one.
