Just wondering which pickups are good for blues guitar? I currently have Fender Texas Specials in the neck and middle positions, but they are way too noisy. What are some other good ones for blues, SRV sounding?Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio? Other?

Thank you!

  1. Get Seymour Duncan at the nek. This will give an awesome sound especially with the Fender Strat.

I've installed many different type of pickups on Gibsons and Strats but for Fender, Seymour Duncan is by far, the best match.

The sound is powerful andif you hook it to a distortion pedal, the distortion will be mellow and sweet and sustaining as well.

I have an Gibson 1963 Les Paul with Dimarzios. The sound is fat and super powerful. Having said that, that is the match for Gibson but not Strats.
