is joe blanton worth it to pick up in an NL only league?

i have number 2 waiver pick this week should i wait till the trade deadline for a better player or go with blanton?

No, I'd leave Blanton alone. I don't like him that much at all.  Look for Kershaw as he's starting today. Look at his walks total, if it's under 3 pick him up.  If its above 5 leave him alone. 4 you can decide.  Also see if Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright are available and use a waiver pick on either one of them before Kershaw.  Use it on Wainwright if at all possible.

Blanton has not pitched that well. He has never been much for Ks. I'd probably hope for better. Scherzer hopefully will recalled fairly soon. Kershaw and Volstad were both just activated and may be available without using your waiver pick. Check them out.
