Good pier fishing rod?

I have an 8' Tsunami Five Star with a Jarvis Walker Integra Silver 5500 with i think 50# Power Pro. Is this an adequate rod for pier fishing? Any suggestions?

you can use it. it just depends...big fish or small fish? i just use a nice heavy shakespeare rod/reel combo.

It depends on what you are fishing for and what part of the country you are fishing. The best way to find out is to go and try it out at the pier. You will know soon enough if you need to adjust anything. Tight lines!
