Question:

Good place to eat close to Glasgow?

I'm looking for a restaurant/picnic area to have a nice romantic dinner/lunch. Recently fell out with my two of my best friends(who are together), and seeing as I'm the only one able to drive, I'm thinking of driving them both somewhere remote, yet close to Glasgow (up to ~50/70 miles) , and leaving them for a few hours to do their thing. As a sort of peace offering.

This restaurant can't be too expensive, yet I don't want it to be a run down shack.

Or if there is a nice remote, sea/loch side area for picnics, would probably be better.

Or if you have any other thoughts on a peace offering, I would love to hear them. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  1. You could go to the oak tree inn in Balmaha.

It's about 25 miles away from glasgow and it sits on the bank of loch lomond.

It's traditionnal pub/restaurant held by a nice family. The prices are reasonnable and the food is classic and good.

    Give it a try !

  5. Go to Blair Drummond safari park, you need to pay to get in but there is picnic and BBQ area's inside, and you can keep yourself occupied by seeing all the animals while your two friends do their thing, then when you are all friends again go get an ice-cream!
