Good place to find dishwasher jobs? (toronto, canada)?

I have sent over 50 resumes via email and fax to postings for dishwasher and kitchen helpers on places like craiglist, jobbank and workopolis and have not gotten replied. I have revised each one I sent to match each posting.

Am I taking the wrong approach?? The reason is because I have to pay off some immediatley needed bills and expenses.

Best is to go into the restaurants, a lot of managers over look resumes emailed in, as it looks like they dont care enough to bring it in themselves.  Also that way they can get a taste of your personality right away.

I am a former chef and most employers look at a dishwasher or kitchen helper as a dime a dozen type job, resumes and the techno approach may be fruitless.

The best approach is check H.R.D.C or the newspapers and try the old fashion way, call them and make an appointment, some people figure if your able to use a computer or are to savvy when it comes to the job situation, you may be to smart for them, at least that was my experience with some employers, I was never happy the way they treated the staff sometimes especially the dishwashers and other kitchen staff, we always played second fiddle to the wait staff.
