Good place to live in liverpool?

can anyone tell me liverpool is good place to live and good 4 young children and which area is good local school in liverpool ?

I moved to Liverpool from Milton Keynes in Aug. 2007 cos it's a cheaper and friendlier place to live, better public transport and there is so much to do and see (esp. if you like the outdoors). Plenty of schools to choose from. As for the area, have a look at West Derby.

Only someone from Liverpool can answer this question. I live across the mersey on the Wirral....and I have to admit, I prefer it here. And take no notice of the two clowns above me. Their talking through their backsides.

Mossley Hill used to be lovely and Croxteth was always nice.

There is a very smart suberb (famous for its large Jewish population) but I can't remember its name. The Alerton road area is very nice and there is the superb 'Blue Coat School' there.
