Good places for schoolies?

i'm from sydney and i don't want to go all the way up QLD coz i want to drive and it's a bit far for that so can anyone give us some ideas for places to go for schoolies within about 6 or so hours drive of sydney where theres good beaches with a bit of nightlife?

Port Macquarie 5 hours drive or stay at a resort out Gosford way its closer and a lot of beaches to choose from.

what about Coffs Harbour? I don't know much about the night life up there but I've heard that the surfing is fantastic and the dining out is good too. for a list of things to do check out the web-site listed below and for nightlife try the 2nd
