I'm going to New York with my mum and was wondering where was good to go to? We already know we are going to The Empire State Building, Museum Of Modern Art, Statue Of Liberty, Bloomingdales and Central Park. Also, where would be a good place to eat near the New york Helmsley Hotel? For an adult and a child!

  2. The lines at the Statue of Liberty can be several hours long.  The lines at the Empire State Building are not nearly as long.  A carriage ride through Central Park is very nice.

  3. To avoid a long line at the Statue of Liberty call  877-523-9849 to get advance tickets.  They'll email the tickets to you the same day you order. Included is the ferry ride and ticket to Ellis Island  $17

The Empire State Bldg also has long lines later in the day so to avoid that be there when it opens at 9 A.M. $17.50

The bike taxi through Central Park is $60 an hour for 2 people which is cheaper than the carriage ride, and the driver will point out where famous people live and interesting facts about the neighborhood & park.

Make sure you see a Broadway show.  You can get 1/2 price tickets at the Marriott Marquis Hotel at 46th & Broadway at 3:00 every day except Monday for shows that evening. They only accept cash.

I'm assuming you mean places a teen, not a child, would enjoy eating.

Garibaldi's has the best pizza.  19 Old Fulton St.

Juniors has the world's best cheesecake.  44th & Broadway.

    Carmine's Italian (be really hungry)   44th between 7th & 8th.

Burger Joint has NY's best hamburger.  56th St at 6th Ave.

    Serendipity's  fabulous desserts   60th St between 2nd & 3rd Ave.

    Stardust Diner - singing waitstaff - 50's theme    51st & Broadway

    Have fun!!!
