  1. Lots of shops for clothes and make up  including:

    The GPO

    Meyer and David Jones

    Melbourne Central

    Hosier Lane

    QV Centre

Southern Cross Station has around 80 shops there

    Bridge Road, Chapel Street, Collingwood

Lots of small shops down the lanes and in the arcades

    Collins Street

For young Australian designer wear try Alice Euphemia in Cathedral Arcade Swanston St

Also try Kinki Gerlinki in Centre Place

    Australia on Collins

    Collins 234

Sofitel on Collins has many shops too

    Have great fun shopping

  2. Chapel Street or Toorak Road.

  3. I went to Melbourne last year and went on a shopping tour by bus, picked up outside our hotel, lunch was included, we shopped till we dropped all day, leather shops, designer label shops, shoe shops, makeup shops, it was fantastic and a fun day as well. I would recommend it as the company knows all the places to go, you just sit back and enjoy. Costs around $80 for the day which I thought was good value. Have a great time. While you are there go to Jamie Oliver's 15 restaurant for dinner that is fabulous too.

  4. Bourke st Mall Flinders St end ... Brill !

  5. You can't go past DFO Spencer Street!!!

As their tv commercial suggests, they have all the big brands, big names and big bargains all in the one complex.

Here is a link to their website. You can find out what outlets there are before you visit them

    It is a shoppers paradise

You can also find some clothing bargains at the Queen Victoria Market.

Go and check that out as well on the weekend.

You will be surprised what you can find there!!!

  6. Lanes around Melbourne like little Collins street (which has mecca and a massive cosmetic store which does theatre makeup) or flinders lane, degraves street, the mini shops underneath flinders street station. Retro star which is two flights up from where subway is on swaston street.

QV, GPO, Melbourne central especially the bottom level, its very cheap.

Bridge rd, is like 5 mins in a tram from the city is also cheap.

Chapel and greville street is trendy, we now have a American apparel store, woo!

Brunswick street in Fitzroy, is alot of fun and they have clearance Ware house. Parallel with Brunswick street is smith street and that is a combination of quirky, sportswear clearance and the cheapest Asian shops you will ever find.

Otherwise catch a tram up Sydney rd (Number 19) and there heaps of Aussie designer, op shop or just kooky.

  7. Try Melbourne Central. Otherwise Bridge Rd in Richmond is a short 10min tram ride from Flinders St.
