Good places to camp on the beach in CA?

My family and I are thinking about planning a camping trip sometime in November and are trying to decide on a campground on the beach in California. We want to be close to the beach and recommendations would be great. Thanks.

New Brighton State park, just south of Santa Cruz.

Hmmm, there is Salt Point State Park up here in Northern California (Mendocino County, near Gualala) , or you can go to Lake County and camp by Clear Lake (huge lake, very very pleasant).  They have alot of beaches, and a state park by the beach.
