I'm going to stay in Krakow for a few days this summer and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good places to go. Any exciting things to see? Cool bars? Rock clubs?

  1. Auschwitch - i suppose I was going there but pulled out after fall out with mate (so much for things like that bringing humans closer together)

    O and the markets

O n tht mans factory who saved sum Jews -4 gt his name-think was Shindler

  2. There is not a lot in the way of clubbing. A lot of 'club nights' are held in hotels rather than 'open to the general public' like you are used to in the UK. The town centre is beautiful and the old castle is like something from a fairytale. Allow at least 2 days to explore the 2 places. The salt mines close by are outstanding with a whole cathedral carved from salt underground - might sound a bit naff, but I have been round the world and the mines are one of the beautiful places I have ever seen.

If you want a full on spiritual experience (that reduces many people to tears) visit the nearby concentration camp. You will not be dissappointed.

  3. well you must know that you are in the presence of one of the most beautiful countries in europe (Poland) , well karkow was named one of the most beautiful citites in europe and makes sence , because poland is the most beautiful country in europe and it sure is breathtaking , take a stroll around the town square , were the ratusz , ( city hall ) sukiennice ( fabric trading ) and the huge church whith to towers ( Mariacki ) but theres one night club you can go to , it's a really good and famous old club called " Piwnicy Pod Baranami " it's beautiful but underthere it's a whole new world ! , you should take a walk down to the wawel castle which is extrordinary , even more beautiful than a french castle by far , it is put near the vitsula river ! and ohh how beautiful it is ! you can take numerous little old streets, stop in charming cafes and take a boat to tyniec it's a old monks church ! really beautiful , and the countryside near cracow is just breathtaking , filled with forests , rolling patched hills , flowered meadows and charming barns , along with curving streams ! the countryside to auchvitz is some beauty aswell with forests , patched hillsides , rolling meadows and rivers and barns  ! but auchvitz is a sad place to visit or must we forget about the Hollacoust !

and the salt mine is somthing to take in view too , along with the beautiful countryside and at wieliczka it's amzing looking at those salt sculptures and underwtaer lakes it's amazing !

good luck and hope i helped !
