  1. good sandwiches: Urban Eats and Portos on Magnolia:

good dining: Proseco's on Riverside Drive (Toluca Lake) and Bistro Provence on Pass Ave in the Vons/Starbucks shopping center.  There's a Mortons on Olive/Alameda if you're in the mood for a steakhouse.

I hate hate hate downtown Burbank ("media center")-- it's filled with teenagers and the stores are just awful.  But, you should at least check it out.  Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake (burbank's immediate neighbor) has good little diners for breakfast (Patty's & Bob's), a few bars (timmy nolan's), restaurants (Proseco's like i said above), Trader Joes, and some other little shops.

There's a big shopping center called "Empire Center" that has a Target, Lowe's, Michael's, Linen & Things, etc.

Honestly, the shopping & dining in Burbank leave something to be desired (to say the least). There are lots of chain restaurants & big box stores.  For dinner, I go to Silverlake, Los Feliz, Hollywood, Sherman Oaks & Studio City to eat. For shopping, i go to the Westfield Fashion Square mall on Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks,  OR (even better) Ventura Blvd in Studio City (start at the corner of Laurel Canyon & Ventura Blvd and go east).  I go all the way to the Grove before i shop in Burbank!!

As for fun....you mean bars?  there's a sports bar in downtown burbank, don't know the name....it gets pretty crowded at night. burbank is so family oriented there's really not much in the way of bars. i would try timmy nolan's on riverside dr in toluca lake. if you're looking for something more hip then go to hollywood....it's just 10 minutes away!

  2. picanha brazilian bar and grill.   try that main strip near the mall.  lots of nice restaurants and bars

  3. I'm not sure if it is still in business, but there is a store there called

'It's A Wrap'. I want to say it is on Magnolia, but not sure.

They sell clothes and merchandise that were used on tv shows and movies. The price tags will show what show and who wore it. Second hand type pricing for stuff that is basically brand new.
