Good price for babysitting?

I have a neighbor that I have known for over 20 years and she has a stepson that is 13 years old. I have watched him for a long time and he is a responsible kid and I trust him.I had him watch my kids today for about 10 mins while I went to the store and things went fine and his parents were just right across the hall. Here is the question. He asked if he could watch the kids more often because he loves being around his "cousins". I was wondering about how much I should pay him weekly for this? He would be paid weekly. The kids are 2 and 3 years old.

i know that when i babysit (which is usally about 10 hours) i usually get 40 dollars but in your case... since it was just 10 minutes then about 5 dollars would be fair since it's 2 kids and the kids' age and everything

If he will be watching them around 3-6 hours a week, it's a good bit of responsibility for a thirteen year old, so I would say maybe around ten to fifteen dollars a day. Mainly because of the ages of your kids, and they need constant attention.

Well how long is he going to be watching them?

Will he be feeding your kids with his food?

Or will you be feeding him?

Is going to bath them and put them to bed or just watch them?

ok then i would give him 25 dollars a week

if he was working at a fast food restaurant you could say he would make about 7 dollars an hour and he would be watching your kids for about 5 hours a week which would be about 35 dollars but since its alot easier work and he enjoys being around them i would pay a little less. but you still have to consider there will be times he would rather be doing something else which is why 25 dollars seems fair.
